What a privileged to offer and introduce this amazing guitar to you, the rare (1 of 300) 2KDNA #274 with a beautiful galaxy black swirl. We have come across a few DNA’s in our time and whilst each one is special in their own right when the case cracked open on this one it is a sight to behold. Its a beautiful DNA swirl. Deep galaxy blacks meander through reds and yellows on the front with incredible detailing and an intricate beautiful blood red dominant swirl adorns the rear. In as good a condition as you could hope to find, still with its original shipping crate. This is a true time capsule to one of the greatest Ibanez Jems ever created. Incredibly rare and extremely hard to find in ANY condition let alone a pristine example thats been kept in its case for years locking away the beauty of this complete work of art.

What we have here is essentially an unused, as new, Ibanez Jem Y2K DNA #274 with an exceptional swirl, one of the rarest and most sought after collectable guitars in the world. In the best condition you can hope to achieve. All hardware is mint and unplayed, all case candy and accessories are included with the sale in mint condition. The only blemish is a small knock on the original flight case causing a slight indentation in the metalwork, easily fixed if needed. If your viewing this guitar you will already know how DNA prices have been soaring over the years and set to become the most highly coveted Jem ever created with average list prices.
Original Owners Guitars History -
The original owner had served as a product manager at Ibanez in Portugal from 1999 to 2012 and had the opportunity to meet Steve Vai on multiple occasions during that time. In 2004, the company received a shipment of 5 Jem DNA guitars, and the the original owner was lucky enough to make his selection from the 5 received. After carefully examining all five guitars, they made their choice based on their preference for the one that featured a striking combination of yellow, red, and black colors.
The guitar remained untouched and safely stored until 2009, when Steve Vai visited Portugal in June to conduct a master class. Seizing the opportunity, the original owner brought the guitar along to have it autographed by the renowned guitarist. After Steve Vai's signature graced the instrument, it became even more treasured by its owner.
For the next three years, from 2009 to 2012, the guitar proudly adorned the living room wall of the individual's home, serving as both a conversation starter and a cherished display piece. However, in 2012, they decided to preserve the guitar's pristine condition and carefully returned it to its protective case for over a decade, where it remained safe and untouched until the present day.

Bodywork/Paint
The DNA guitars are renowned for their rarity and quality along with the blood actually being placed within the red paint. As a result the red swirls are that little bit more special and boy does this one have a lot of red present in the swirls. The swirl on this has an almost marble like premium quality to it and a whole heap of blood red paint swirling through yellows and blacks. A true piece of art. The body work is in exceptional condition and looks stunning.
Case
A small dent in one corner as photographed. all elements flawless and functional. This guitar comes with the a lovely original and collectable hard case in near mint condition. Only a minimal signs of ware from storage, minimal marking. all elements flawlessly functional.
Certificate of Authenticity and case candy is all present and accounted for.
