WHAT...A...FIND! One of the best conditioned 777VDYs we have seen for a long time. These are getting harder and harder to find in any condition. If you have been looking for one to add to a collection you will be pushed to find a better example.


The 777 Guitars are all incredibly rare, amazing, and beautiful instruments. The V series 777 (VSK VDY) takes all of these three factors to another level, making it the ultimate collector's item. We are hugely privileged to offer this fantastic example of the legendary 777VDY (Vine Desert Yellow), a model manufactured between 1989-1990 edition period showcasing the original edge tremolo system. This year represents the acclaimed "golden years" of Ibanez Jem guitar manufacturing. Ibanez had something to prove with the introduction of this model, and the level of craftsmanship and material quality is among the highest of guitar building, a true testament to their perfection.


This Desert Yellow color is deeply vibrant and pops out of the case with the eccentric pink-topped pickups, making it a real head-turner. The VDY is unique, rare, and a jewel in any collection, representing an amazing investment for any Ibanez collector or someone who simply wants the rarest guitars that will only continue to increase in value.

Guitar History

This guitar was purchased privately in 1999 in Sydney and has only left the house for a move up the coast and to the Luthier in 2022. (strings settings and intonation) 


Fit and Finish
Desert Sun Yellow, Floyd Rose Tremolo, Pink knobs. Almost mint condition with only minor defects shown in pictures. Additional pictures can be taken at request if required. No finish scratches, dents or dings. Some discolouring as indicated, mainly on the neck on the rear. Neck Bolt plate slight corrosion. Some screws discoloured/corroded. Scratch on Jack input cover as photographed. 


Fret Board/ Fret Wear
Guitar has been played . minimum wear on lower frets


Tremolo
 Original Floyd Rose. Bar bushes have been replaced.


Neck
Straight no cracks. Some discolour on rear of headstock. There are no neck pocket cracks on this particular jem. Something rarely seen as these get older. 


Electronics
All Tested. Original . No noise from Pots or switch.


Bodywork/Paint
Slight pit in monkey bar grip.(very hard to spot) No Blemishes, scratches or dents. Signs of light play only so may contain plectrum marks on the very top finish, easily buffed out if required.


Case
Original Ibanez shaped case in excellent condition. Period correct. Some scuff marks and corrosion on plated fittings
