This is the absolute top of the line model from Ibanez. Like with the first Floral Pattern JEM, the finish of the JEM77 FP2 is created with actual floral pattern cloth on the body and headstock. The fabric is glued to the body, the edges are painted black and then fully clear coated in a stunning design more reminiscent of Japanese artwork than the original 80s floral drops of the pervious incarnation..

GUITAR CONDITION REPORT
I bought the guitar from Musicians Friend in the USA in Dec of 2012. Imported it to Canada and paid proper duties on it. I have used the guitar on several gigs but mainly it has lived in my basement music room (45% humidity, year-round).
Musicians Friend would not ship this to Canada. So I had them ship it to a forwarding company in Sarasota, Fl. (MyUS.com). That's the address that you see on the invoice from Musicians Friend. MyUS.com understated the value for Canadian Customs at $148, which you can see on the DHL document that shows them shipping from Florida to my address. After I received it I went into Canadian Customs and paid the remainder of the duty based on the actual invoice (Canada Customs document).
Fit & Finish
With the exception of the items described in the notes, the guitar is in very good shape. It has had very light usage in the past 10 years that I've owned it (I generally use my other guitars). In terms of play-ability and sound the guitar is 100%.

Notes
The "ding" is in the clear coat only. It is not 3 dimensional and you can’t feel it. The base coat of black was not damaged. The size of it is 3/8" X 1/4". It is located on the back edge of where you would rest your right forearm while playing.
The two screws on the back of the neck to hold the nut by the headstock have been replaced at some stage. These are silver instead of the standard black, a very easy replacement part if needed to put 100% original
Because of the shiny finish of the clear coat, this guitar is extremely hard to photograph. There are a bunch of reflections that look like additional dings. They are not.
