We have something very special for Ibanez fans right here. An exceptional rare PAINT-4 electric guitar in collectors conditi0on. This hand painted beautiful example of the PAINT 4 will not be listed again anytime soon with almost all now in the hands of collectors. Each guitar was individually signed by the artist and this is number #23 of only 29 models ever made way back in 1999.
The RG-PAINT is a mini-series of RG series solid body electric guitar models offered by Ibanez in 1999. They were produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale J Custom line.
The RG-PAINT1 and RG-PAINT2 models are based on the RG570 and were made in June 1999. The RG-PAINT3 and RG-PAINT4 models are based on the RG3120 and were made in August 1999.
Each guitar was hand painted, signed and numbered by the artist. A very limited number of examples of each were produced:
RG-PAINT1: 18 units
RG-PAINT2: 19 units
RG-PAINT3: 21 units
RG-PAINT4: 29 units
A solid body of basswood combines perfectly with an AANJ neck. The highest end components only feature in this model with no expense spared, including a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo, cosmo black hardware, Super wizard 1 piece maple and bubinga stripe neck and a rosewood fretboard. Gorgeous offset abalone dots at 12th fret and 24th frat/ jumbo (SBB216195) fretwork. A Top-Lok III and Gotoh SG38 tuners finish the hardware. For pickups the no expense spared approach continues with the very best Dimarzio Tone Zone & Air Norton pickings in the neck and bridge positions with a JEM single coil. This is a serious guitar for serious collectors and a true work of art.

This Guitars History
This is a collectors dream guitar. Bought by a carefull collector who really cherished this guitar, it has clearly spent most of its life in the case with only the occasional and careful play
Condition: Fit and Finish
A near perfect example of the Ibanez RG PAINT-4 with rosewood fretboard. The playability of this guitar is fantastic and the sound stunning.
Fret Life/Fretboard - This guitar has had very light use, plenty of life in those frets,. The fretboard is exquisite with a stunning maple neck and a beautiful rosewood fingerboard
Tremolo - A good finish with no signs of use on this matt painted finish. The owner must have cleaned down the guitar after each play to keep the condition of this. There is a very little discolouration indicative of use. Only the faintest of pitting, very subtle. This tremolo is in fantastic condition. A HD picture has been taken close up. Largely what you would expect from a well cared for, near 30 year old guitar
Neck - Original Neck Straight with an good feel and grain. No cracks or wood problems. There are no pocket marks on this guitar. A very common mark on these guitars but not present on this model.
Electronics - As you would expect in a golden era instrument, there are no known issues with electronics. Sounds like a dream, pickup selector snaps into place and these pick ups absolutely scream!
Body work- This is where the guitar really shines, quite literally. The body work is in exceptional condition and looks stunning. We have inspected every inch of this guitar and can find no visable dinks, dents or chips. Its perfect!
Case - This guitar comes with a lovely hard case in good condition, the latches function flawlessly. Only a minimal signs of ware from storage. There are however, 2 feet missing from the bottom which were damaged in storage. Guitar comes with tremolo arm in case.

Unlike most sellers, all guitars bought at the asking price come with a full complimentary, professional set up. This is an extensive, time consuming process that I personally undertake. The procedure is laid out below but ensures that each instrument arrives to your door in exceptional condition and with a playability that only Jems can offer. All guitars are wrapped to the highest standard, inside the case the guitar will be bubble wrapped and any accessories individually packaged inside the case. Nothing loose will be left in the case. The guitar is then wrapped a total of 3 times in bubble before a strong brown paper incases the the whole guitar. I have been shipping guitars all over the world for 10 years with no problems reported.
