Guitars History
This was a collectors guitar. Its history is very simple. It was bought new in 2007 and has been kept in the case ever since. You will not find a better example of this guitar anywhere else.


Guitar Condition: Fit and Finish
PERFECT!

​Fret Life/Fretboard - Fretboard is unplayed. No signs of playing, the frets are professionally rounded and gleaming


Tremolo - Still with a fantastic mirror finish, No blemishing and no pitting on the tremolo unit. Its as new


Neck - Original Neck Straight as an arrow


Electronics - As you would expect in a mint instrument there are no issues with electronics. Sounds like a dream and the pickups Scream!!


Body work- No dings, No scratches, No dents or bruising in the acrylic or on the body/neck. There are not even any small scratches on the pick guard


Case - This guitar comes with the equally limited edition Jem 20th Premium Flight Case. Case is in great condition with only a few signs of ware from storage. The only signs of marking are on the commemorative plate that could be buffed out with some elbow grease if required. No other notable marks.

Consignment sales - These are guitars from verified partners, collectors and enthusiasts of jem guitars. This allows us to sell jems from areas we cannot import from but that may be more local to you than our UK base. Save yourself the import fees, customs and the environment by buying local.

Security and safety is our number one concern. All consignment sellers are vetted by SellMyJem, all guitars are checked for authenticity by us from the pictures provided and drawing on our years of experience working with Jems, we ensure that proof of ownership and verification of address have been provided before we allow any listing and try to mitigate and personally select all guitars before they ever make it to this page. 

In the unlikely event there may be a dispute or problem you are completely protected, all deals are paid via PayPal and any disputes can be handled by their dispute/resolution process and all guitars still carry industry standard Buyer Protection on purchases

SHIPPING

I take shipping guitars of this beauty very seriously and make sure it is bomb proof and all international shipping quotes come with £1000 worth of insurance for damage in transit, there is also an option not to take insurance but I strongly advise against! 

All shipping can be tracked by you and you will be issued a tracking number as soon as payment has been received and delivery arranged

Your guitar will go through the following process regardless of international or domestic shipping. I am happy to ship to anywhere in the world and have experience shipping to most international destinations.

All guitars are wrapped to the highest standard, inside the case the guitar will be bubble wrapped and any accessories individually packaged inside the case. Nothing loose will be left in the case. The guitar is then wrapped a total of 3 times in bubble before a strong brown paper incases the the whole guitar. I have been shipping guitars all over the world for 10 years with no problems reported. ​

Please take a look at the sellmyjem Returns Policy for both international and domestic. Most Ibanez Jem sellers dont honor any returns at all but if you are not happy with your purchase then im happy to accept a return providing you conform to the returns policy of the website. ​​

Unlike most sellers, all guitars bought at the asking price come with a full complimentary, professional set up. This is an extensive, time consuming process that I personally undertake. The procedure is laid out below but ensures that each instrument arrives to your door in exceptional condition and with a playability that only Jems can offer. You can be sure you are getting one of the best playing instruments around!

IBANEZ JEM 20TH ANNIVERSARY

The Ibanez JEM20TH is a JEM series guitar model and signature model of American guitarist Steve Vai. It was released in 2007 in honor of the 20th Anniversary of the JEM series. 500 of these guitars were made.

The JEM20TH body is fashioned of hand-crafted premium grade clear acrylic with a 3D interior design which can be illuminated by internal green LED's. The acrylic body is made by a Japanese company that fabricates clear tank walls for aquariums. The Trans JEM pickups are created by DiMarzio especially for the acrylic body of this guitar model since it has a greater density than a traditional wood guitar. Other features include a JEM Prestige neck with vine inlay and the Edge Pro tremolo.
