Guitars History
This is a European model and is part of a run of only 642 EU pieces made in 1996 as part of Ibanez celebration of a 10th Anniversary in the production of the Ibanez jem, and they really pulled out all the stops with regards to material choice and production quality. This is the pinnacle of the Ibanez Jem and a highly sought after collectors piece. Owned previously in Italy, it has only seen some use and has been lovingly appreciated and looked after all of its life.
Condition: Fit and Finish
I have uploaded many HD pictures for you to enjoy. I certainly enjoyed photographing it! This is a used example of Ibanez Jem 10th Anniversary, ideal for collectors who may want to actually play their collection of Jems or the enthusiast looking to own a piece of history that will never lose its value. Fret Life/Fretboard - This guitar has had light use on the frets. Therefore there is plenty of fret-wire on this instrument.
Tremolo - Still with a fantastic finish, almost no blemishing and only minimal signs of pitting on the tremolo unit. It shines brilliantly and really sparkles in the sunlight.
Neck - Original Neck Straight as an arrow with an incredible feel and grain. No cracks or wood problems. The Pearl inlays run beautifully through the entire fretboard
Electronics - As you would expect in 10th Anniversary instrument with no expense spared there are no issues with electronics. Sounds like a dream and is a true awesome sound! The chrome has worn very lightly from the edges of the single coil and hum-buckers, a very common occurrence in the Jem 10th and occurs on all models when played only very lightly. One trick (if you decide to own one) is to use some cling film over the pickups to protect them from future damage :)
Body work- There are a couple of marks highlighted in the picture around the outside edge paintwork, relatively minimal. Some light pick scratches on the bodywork. This has been a well loved and used 10th Anniversary and would be classed as a player condition example. The small pickup selector tip is not included, these can easily be purchased from Ibanez if you would like this 100% stock.
Case - This guitar comes with the original jem hard case which is missing 2 of the buckles (1 working). Case has seen better days so would reccomend a new one. Missing 2 feet. The outer shell has a few signs of ware from storage, minimal marking. Other case candy is included in the sale and includes the tremolo arm and COA
Certificate Of Authenticity - Kkept in a cellophane pouch comes with the guitar and is signed with matching serial

If the asking price is achieved you will get a complete and customary set up by myself. I will put this guitar through my set up process which is quite a lengthy procedure, a summary of the process is below.
Shipping
I take shipping guitar very seriously and make sure it is bomb proof and all international shipping quotes come with £1000 worth of insurance for damage in transit. All are tracked and you will be issued a tracking number as soon as payment has been received and delivery arranged
Your guitar will go through the following process regardless of international or domestic shipping. I am happy to ship to anywhere in the world and have experience shipping to most international destinations.
All guitars are wrapped to the highest standard, inside the case the guitar will be bubble wrapped and any accessories individually packaged inside the case. Nothing loose will be left in the case. The guitar is then wrapped a total of 3 times in bubble wrap before a strong brown paper incases the the whole guitar.

"I had been searching the internet for a decent used Jem for a while but was reluctant to purchase such an expensive guitar without seeing and playing it. The same with getting stuff off ebay without playing/seeing it….risky business!
I then came across sellmyjem.com and found a gorgeous V70 in sea foam green. The site is great…..loads of info and some of the best photos of used guitars I’ve ever seen…….proper Jem pornography!
The photos and write up for the V70 were fabulous and it was obvious that this seller loves his Jems!
Although I had been looking for a 7VWH I was really taken with the colour of this model. I checked out the specs on the Ibanez site and was a little worried to discover this model is made in Indonesia and not Japan so I contacted Rex from sellmyjem.com and we discussed the guitar at length……his knowledge of the Jem models was superb and being a great guitarist himself he understands how they feel and play. He assured me that the V70 was a cracking guitar and the quality from Indonesia was great……especially at the price.
I ordered it on a Wednesday evening and it was delivered Friday with Rex given me updates throughout its journey!
I can tell you now …… this V70 model is awesome. The pickups are smoking hot and the Edge trem is bloody insane! I don’t care that this thing was made in Indonesia it looks and plays amazing! It is also one of the most beautiful guitars I’ve ever seen…..the sea foam green with the tree of life inlay has to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated.
The description given on sellmyjem.com was also spot on……it said immaculate and that is exactly what it was. You couldn’t tell it wasn’t new.
I’m still looking for a 7VWH and won’t be getting it anywhere else but sellmyjem.com!

IBANEZ JEM 10TH ANNIVERSARY IINFORMATION
The Ibanez JEM10TH is a JEM series guitar model and signature model of American guitarist Steve Vai. It was released in 1996 to commemorate the 10th year anniversary of the Ibanez JEM series. Special features are the engraved aluminum pickguard and headstock overlay and pearloid and abalone binding and inlays. All JEM10TH models have a unique serial number engraved in the pickguard. It is claimed that only 852 were made, although higher serial numbers do exist.
Other features include typical JEM features such as a basswood body, DiMarzio Evolution pickups and a Lo Pro Edge tremolo.
The Jem 10th model was created for JEM's tenth anniversary in 1997, although production started in 1996. "This sub-model of Anniversary JEM includes numbered letter of authenticity hand-signed by Steve Vai. The aluminium pickguard has an engraved vine and its JEM10 serial number. JEM10s designated for the USA have a silver tweed JEM case with outside plaque and inner silk screened protective shroud.
