Own a piece of guitar history. Something really quite special here. The Ibanez Jem 7PBK represents the very first incarnation of the Ibanez Jem model introduced in early 1989. You simply don't see these around very much due to their rarity. The 7PBK is a completely unique design compared to many of the later Jems and for collectors is particularly special due to being the only Ibanez jem ever produce to include disappearing pyramid inlays in white made from pure Pearl and Abalone. The 7PBK is mistakenly thought of sometimes as a prototype for the Ibanez Jem but this is not completely accurate and whilst the design of the Jem changed shortly after the production of the 7PBK and 7RB (Root Beer) this was a manufactured guitar, be it only for a very short time. This is a piece of Jem history and a beautifully unique looking instrument made from the absolute highest quality materials and build from the golden era of Jem manufacturing

Guitars History
The guitars history is a little unknown. For its year it has been kept in remarkably good condition and has been well cared for by the previous owner. Its last 10 years were spent in a hard case and rarely used.
Condition: Fit and Finish
This is a played condition 7PBK from 1989 with good conditioned hardware throughout for its year. There are some marks and playing scratches that have been detailed below. The guitar has been set up exceptionally well and play beautifully with a stunning raw sound that only the PAF pickups can produce. The Wizard neck and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard really makes this guitar feel sing
Fret Life/Fretboard - Fret-life is still strong with plenty of life left in them. No issues with the frets or fretboard, its guitar ready to be played.
Tremolo - A good finish, minimal blemishing with only some pitting present on the tremolo unit indicative of stand playing. Take a look at the close up pictures if in any doubt
Neck - Original Neck, Straight as an arrow with an incredible feel and grain. No cracks or wood problems on the rear or front. in fact this neck has an incredible grain in both the maple and rosewood. These old guitars can sometimes have issue with the nut end causing a crack (something to always watch for) but this guitar is solid and shows no evidence of abuse
Electronics - Sounds like a dream and these pick ups absolutely scream! You will not believe the power of these PAF Pros pickups
Body work- A silky Black and brilliant white combination is still bold and vibrant and incredibly vivid across the body. A number of body bruises on the front edge and outside edge along with some light playing scratching along the body , all photographed. some very small dings on the front body. Only 1 ding on the rear of the guitar on the edge in a place not normally viable that has revealed the underlying wood and is approximately 2cm in length.
Case - This guitar comes with the a lovely Ibanez hard Case in amazing condition. Only a few signs of ware from storageAll elements functional. Also comes with the original tremolo bar

I take shipping guitars very seriously and make sure it is bomb proof and all international shipping quotes come with £1000 worth of insurance for damage in transit. All are tracked and you will be issued a tracking number as soon as payment has been received and delivery arranged
Your guitar will go through the following process regardless of international or domestic shipping. I am happy to ship to anywhere in the world and have experience shipping to most international destinations.
All guitars are wrapped to the highest standard, inside the case the guitar will be bubble wrapped and any accessories individually packaged inside the case. Nothing loose will be left in the case. The guitar is then wrapped a total of 3 times in bubble wrap before a strong brown paper incases the the whole guitar.

Ibanez Jem 7PBK Information
The Ibanez JEM7P is a JEM series electric guitar model and signature model of American guitarist Steve Vai, introduced in 1989. ike the JEM7 RB, the JEM7P has a wider monkey grip. It also has the thinner Wizard neck instead of the regular JEM neck. Other features include a basswood body, DiMarzio pickups, a fingerboard with pyramid inlays and a double locking tremolo.
