We are thrilled to present this exceptional Ibanez JS20TH 20th Anniversary Joe Satriani Signature guitar. Released in 2008 to commemorate two decades of collaboration between Joe Satriani and Ibanez, this limited edition instrument is one of only 300 produced worldwide, with 150 allocated to the USA. Crafted in Japan by FujiGen, the JS20TH features a stunning 3D inlay of the Silver Surfer, paying homage to Satriani's iconic "Surfing with the Alien" album. The guitar boasts a basswood body, maple JS Prestige neck, rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays, and is equipped with DiMarzio PAF Pro (neck) and Fred (bridge) humbuckers, delivering the versatile tones that Satriani is renowned for. An Edge tremolo bridge ensures exceptional tuning stability and expressive pitch control.
This particular instrument was purchased in as new condition in 2016 as a 40th birthday gift and has been meticulously maintained. It remains in near-mint condition, having been sparingly displayed only, and comes complete with its original red flight case and case candy. Please note, the original strap is missing + the plectrums but has been replaced with a black Satriani strap. This guitar is in fantastic condition, with all hardware and components showing minimal signs of playing, reflecting its status as a cherished collector's piece. The paint finish is flawless, with no visible blemishes or imperfections. The silver surfer has a natural change of colouration indicative of this model which slowly turns to a golden hue over time. This model is no different and has been a display guitar since purchase in a dark room since 2016 with its history before then being store stock.
Fretboard & Fret Life
The fretboard appears unplayed, with no visible fret wear. The frets are in excellent condition, indicating minimal to no use.
Tremolo
The Edge tremolo system is in perfect condition, reflecting the guitar's unplayed nature. There are no signs of wear, blemishes, or pitting present on the tremolo unit.
Neck
The original neck is straight and exhibits an incredible feel and grain. There are no cracks or wood problems. Importantly, this guitar shows no neck pocket cracks, a common issue in similar models.
Electronics
The electronics are in perfect working order. The DiMarzio PAF Pro and Fred pickups deliver powerful and articulate tones, offering a distinctive sound that stands out among other models.
Bodywork/Paint

JS20TH with Silver Surfer designThe JS20th is a solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2008. It is a signature guitar of American guitarist Joe Satriani and commemorates the 20th anniversary of Satriani's relationship with Ibanez. The JS20th is produced in Japan by FujiGen.

The JS20S is a less expensive version of the JS20th. It lacks the 3-D inlay, has different components and was produced in South Korea rather than Japan.
