Guitars History
This is a rare example of a now long discontinued and incredible 7 string guitar. The only 7 string "Jem" and something of a unicorn guitar thats very difficult to get hold of in good condition. The guitar is in fantastic condition with no obvious play time and complete with all accessories and original case. This has been owned by 1 careful owner prior to us and clearly well taken care of. Please take a look at the detailed guitar condition report below. Whilst we can find no obvious signs of playing we always disclaim that this MAY have been played once or twice in controlled conditions.
Condition: Fit and Finish
Hardware is mint, has seen almost no signs of playing and is in stunning condition with almost no wear, no discernible fade of any of the gold colouring on the low E side of the tremolo. No chips, no dings, no dents no scratches just a mint 7V7 in about as good a condition as you will find anywhere in the world and complete with all the original case candy. Note: This guitar has been carefully stored for many years and as such will arrive to you without a personalised setup.
Fret Life/Fretboard - Virtually unplayed example and so has almost no fret ware or playing signs
Fade - No fading present on this guitar paintwork. Its like new! No chips, dings, dents, scratches. You may find some polish swirl or light pick marks on the pick-guard when held to a bright light under certain angles.
Tremolo - As new, no discernible fade of gold on low E side only, no pitting present. Functions flawlessly
Neck - Original Neck Straight as an arrow with an incredible feel and grain.No cracks no wood issues.
Electronics - The electronics scream! The original pick ups are still in place and sound absolutely incredible! Its a jem after all so expect nothing less!
Body Paint - Exceptional, stunning paintwork, still gleaming as new. Has no blemishes on the front rear or sides. The only mark we could find was a 2-3mm hairline in the neck pocket (photographed up close). Minimal and unnoticeable unless you are searching for it.

“I thought that the JEM itself was beautiful, and it fit Steve’s style very well… the gold hardware, tree of life, the pearloid pickguard etc. I tried the JEM at a local Guitar Center, and loved it, but never got one, playing other models instead.
However, opening the case, thinking back to first seeing the JEM, or seeing the different versions over the years (there are quite a few live-shots of me playing the JEM BSB, which was a totally awesome version of the JEM… if you can find one, check it out!), and once I started playing, it felt comfortable right away.
As I said, I had played seven-strings before, and of course, it takes a while to adjust not only to the extra string and increased range, but also to the wider neck etc.
The JEM, just like the UV, makes this process rather easy, as it has a (in my opinion) very very comfortable neck-profile. Even the wider neck won’t hinder you much as it’s very thin and comfortable.
The guitar was setup perfectly, and I started playing it almost exclusively for a few weeks, getting back into “Seven-string mode”. It’s a beautiful instrument with a wonderful sound and lots of variety. It’s the guitar that will be used for the orchestra-performances, and once it is time to record guitars for the next VM- or EVB-release, this one will be used a LOT.
BTW: I do use the standard vibrato-bar with this one, not the all new carbon Ultralite arm… the latter is pretty cool and I can see its benefits, but I always stick to the regular one, as it feels more natural to me… after years of using double-locking trems, I have gotten VERY used to the regular bar.”

Your guitar will go through the following process regardless of international or domestic shipping. I am happy to ship to anywhere in the world and have experience shipping to most international destinations.
All guitars are wrapped to the highest standard, inside the case the guitar will be bubble wrapped and any accessories individually packaged inside the case. Nothing loose will be left in the case. The guitar is then wrapped a minimum total of 3 times in bubble before a strong brown paper incases the the whole guitar. I have been shipping guitars all over the world for 20 years with no problems, we even have a dedicated guide on our website that other sites use as their benchmark!

"I had been searching the internet for a decent used Jem for a while but was reluctant to purchase such an expensive guitar without seeing and playing it. The same with getting stuff off ebay without playing/seeing it….risky business!
I then came across sellmyjem.com and found a gorgeous V70 in sea foam green. The site is great…..loads of info and some of the best photos of used guitars I’ve ever seen…….proper Jem pornography!
The photos and write up for the V70 were fabulous and it was obvious that this seller loves his Jems!
Although I had been looking for a 7VWH I was really taken with the colour of this model. I checked out the specs on the Ibanez site and was a little worried to discover this model is made in Indonesia and not Japan so I contacted Rex from sellmyjem.com and we discussed the guitar at length……his knowledge of the Jem models was superb and being a great guitarist himself he understands how they feel and play. He assured me that the V70 was a cracking guitar and the quality from Indonesia was great……especially at the price.
I ordered it on a Wednesday evening and it was delivered Friday with Rex given me updates throughout its journey!
I can tell you now …… this V70 model is awesome. The pickups are smoking hot and the Edge trem is bloody insane! I don’t care that this thing was made in Indonesia it looks and plays amazing! It is also one of the most beautiful guitars I’ve ever seen…..the sea foam green with the tree of life inlay has to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated.
The description given on sellmyjem.com was also spot on……it said immaculate and that is exactly what it was. You couldn’t tell it wasn’t new.
I’m still looking for a 7VWH and won’t be getting it anywhere else but sellmyjem.com!
