Key things to look out for on guitars for signs of wear are the tremolo units and the frets. This guitar has no viable wear on either, and were talking about a guitar made in 1997. The paint is exceptionally vibrant and there are no dings/scratches . An exceptionally rare find. So this one is really something special and I'm gonna be very sad to let her go. If you know BSB's you will know that since they discontinued its very hard to find one without significant wear or fading of the paint due to the sun or playing. The lack of finish really makes these a difficult guitar to find in good condition. The basswood body, lo-Pro Edge tremolo and DiMarzio Evolution pickups really help this guitar to scream. The guitar is of truly exceptional build quality. This guitar ships with an equally rare original Ibanez Official Hard case that came with guitars in the late 90’s, a collectors item in their own right. The original case is in good condition and fully functional. Also comes with the original tremolo arm which is in exceptional almost unplayed condition.
Guitars History
The previous owner really knows how to look after guitars. Originally owned by a guitar tech and then passed on to a passionate Ibanez Jem Collector this guitar has been spending most of its time set in its case for with only occasional airing on a hanger, rarely played, but rather admired. When you open the case for the first time its really quite a sight. It will be some time before you will find a BSB in this condition again, don't miss out!
Condition: Fit and Finish
9.5/10 - The guitar has virtually no wear from playing, anywhere, please see the pictures to confirm for yourself. The only evidence of playing is a very slight and natural fade along the neck that really adds to the character of the guitar however this is very minimal and the Stain is still very vibrant across the neck. The rest of the guitar is fantastic.
I have put this guitar through my set up process which is quite a lengthy procedure, a summary of the process is below.
Shipping
I take shipping guitar very seriously and make sure it is bomb proof and all international shipping quotes come with £1000 worth of insurance for damage in transit. All are tracked and you will be issued a tracking number as soon as payment has been received and delivery arranged
Your guitar will go through the following process regardless of international or domestic shipping. I am happy to ship to anywhere in the world and have experience shipping to most international destinations.
All guitars are wrapped to the highest standard, inside the case the guitar will be bubble wrapped and any accessories individually packaged inside the case. Nothing loose will be left in the case. The guitar is then wrapped a total of 3 times in bubble wrap before a strong brown paper incases the the whole guitar.
